Our Coaches

Our coaching team of experienced race coaches have worked with athletes up to and including national squad racers and also worked through the BASI system so have a balanced view of what is required of you in developing toward your Eurotest and test technique.



Phil Brown

Phil has been actively involved with race coaching for over 15 years working from club level through to National team coach. During this time he has worked with many and varied athletes and has taken numerous club racers onto national teams and success in FIS. He is currently a national team selector and Head trainer for Impulse Racing and Hemel ski Racing club who are currently one of the largest race clubs in the UK. Recently, he has run a FIS training centre in Hemsedal and has spent the past 2 seasons taking racers independently through the british system and onto the FIS circuit. He holds the UK snowsports Level 4 coach qualification with IVSI and is working with BASI on the L3 Coaching award.



Euan Gardner


Euan is a former National team racer and currently works with Oxygene Ski School in La Plagne. He works with Impulse on our out of season programme, bringing his knowledge and race experience to bear with our trainees and candidates. Euan has recently completed his ISTD and, 2 seasons ago, his eurotest. achieving the fastest time in his first attempt.

Both Phil and Euan will be running the summer and Autumn training in Tignes with additional high calibre coaches being used where necessary.
